COVID-19 Outstanding Response Award – Other Organisations
The COVID-19 Outstanding Response Award recognises the outstanding work and achievements of individuals, teams and organisations in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic.
While the UK is still tackling COVID-19 – and assessing the long-term implications of the pandemic – it is clear that the public sector supply chain has played a significant role in the nation’s response.
This Award recognises commitment and dedication while focusing on areas such as innovation and collaboration. It highlights examples of best practice and new approaches that have arisen as a result of the pandemic. These examples are important, not just in terms of the UK’s continuing approach to tackling COVID-19, but also in terms of how they can be applied to other areas of procurement in the future.
While COVID-19 is an ongoing health-related crisis, this Award covers all areas of public procurement, recognising the significant impact the pandemic has had across the public sector and contract delivery.
The Award also recognises the major role that the public sector will play in the UK’s economic recovery from COVID-19; therefore, initiatives related to areas such as supplier support are valid for consideration.
A GO Awards submission in this category must cover activity during the period January 2020 to December 2020.
The initiative related to the submission must have started during this period to be eligible; however, given the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it can be ongoing.
