GO Awards Scotland 2016/17 – Winners Announced!

The Winners and Highly Commended entrants for the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Scotland 2016/17 were announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow last night, Wednesday 9 November 2016.

goawards480x320Hosted by TV presenter Sarah Heaney, the Awards were the climax to Scotland’s Festival of Procurement, which kicked off earlier in the day at Procurex Scotland Live 2016 at the SECC in Glasgow.

This year’s entries were reviewed by a panel of eight judges comprising experts in UK procurement, including Ainslie McLaughlin, Director of Procurement and Commercial, Scottish Government; Sue Moffatt, Commercial Director at National Procurement Service, Wales; and Sharon Smyth, Director of Supplies and Services Division, Central Procurement Directorate, Northern Ireland.

Grahame Steed, Managing Editor of GO and Chair of the GO Awards Scotland Judging Panel, said of the Awards:
