Thank you to all who showed an interest in the National Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards 2017/18.
As one of the leading countries in the world for best practice procurement, as you would expect the standard of the submissions this year has again raised the bar! So, thank you! Well done to everyone who entered and congratulations to those who have reached the finalist stage from the many entries into the National Awards.
We are now delighted to reveal that the finalists in each category have been decided. All the entries were recently reviewed by a panel of judges made up of experts in UK procurement including Ainslie McLaughlin, Director of Procurement and Commercial, Scottish Government; David Smith, Chairman, CIPS Nominations Committee; John Tizard, Independent Strategic Advisor and Commentator; and Elizabeth Welton, Head of Shared Procurement Service, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Coventry City Council. All members of this year’s judging panel can be viewed here.
Please note, the National GO Awards 2017/18 ceremony has now sold out. For any last minute availability, please email email@example.com.
In addition, all finalists are invited to attend a special GO Awards finalists’ presentation at the Procurex England North 2017 event, in advance of the Gala Dinner. As a finalist, you will receive a complimentary lunch and have the opportunity to meet and celebrate your success with other finalists, in the build-up to the main event. Attendance at the finalists’ presentation also gives you free access to the Procurex England North 2017 event, which features the inaugural CCS Showcase, to be hosted by Crown Commercial Service.
