National
Public Procurement Practitioners Day (N3PD)
is a unique recognition of the work of procurement professionals
across the UK. Established in 2004, N3PD celebrates
the innovation, commitment and achievement of those
who strive to improve public services – and value
for money – through their efforts.
N3PD is supported by leading procurement bodies from
across the UK, and attracts high profile speakers
each year.
Previous
speakers include include Sir Michael Lyons; Dr
Vincent Cable, Shadow Chancellor and Deputy
Leader of the Liberal Democrats; Dr Neil Bentley,
Director of Public Services Policy at the Confederation
of British Industry; Charlie McCreevy,
European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services;
and John Oughton, former Chief Executive
of the Office of Government Commerce.
For
2008, speakers are Phil Hope, Minister
for the Third Sector and John Cridland,
Deputy Director of the CBI.
N3PD
takes place on 5 June at the Institution of Civil
Engineers at One Great George Street in London.
