Open to:

Small businesses (defined as having fewer than 50 employees and/or a turnover of under £5 million) which have a current contract with a UK public sector organisation. The category is open to both existing and new suppliers to the public sector, and reflects the important role small businesses can play in delivering innovative solutions.

Criteria:

  • Have added value by adopting an innovative or creative approach to addressing the requirements of the contract and its delivery
  • Have demonstrated to a public sector organisation measurable benefits of working with a small business
  • Have demonstrated a high level of collaboration and/or partnership with the buyer
  • Have delivered a service which meets or exceeds the expectations of the buyer and end users

Other:

Endorsement of the buyer (public sector) is required for entries in this category as the Award recognises the achievements of all parties to the contract.
